The IT vision for GUSTI will focus on the development of a platform which maps all manufacturing processes which can be integrated with contemporary systems like SAP, Dynamatics, Oracle and others. The processes will include design and manufacturing (including CAD/CAM/CAE) with integration and linkage into lifecycle management for manufactured products.

This platform will be developed from leading solutions and integrated with existing functional programs (ex: Tally). The development stakeholders could include IT companies that focus on, or have solutions, for manufacturing.

GUSTI’s platform will help partner companies log in and get off to a running start using the Cloud through a SaaS–based model. There could be a very large opportunity to provide solutions in open source technology thereby bringing IT-managed services at comparable costs to entrepreneurs.

As this is not a core competency for GUSTI, IT firms and solution providers are invited to take up this role to develop and integrate software with manufacturing hardware and the peripheral process areas like supply chain management, enterprise resource management, inventory and financials.

Keeping global markets and processes in mind, international IT standards and certifications (ISO, SEI CMM, etc.) will be mandatory for participants.
