Logistics and Servicing is not a core competency of GUSTI but it is still a required and vital function. GUSTI will outsource to global leaders in Logistics and Servicing. With Government participation and permits, GUSTI aims to operate on the lines of a ‘free port’.

The primary success factor for this lies in setting up a sourcing hub. This will be a virtual database for industrial manufacturing products which will be used to facilitate the sourcing and delivery of any piece of equipment a member of GUSTI needs to get operational and producing. GUSTI envisions this as a world–class service with time–bound service level agreements (SLAs) for the sourcing and delivery of equipment.

The long-term vision for GUSTI’s Logistics & Servicing function is aimed at having free access to a global hub, much along the lines of a free port. Location-wise, Bangalore is ideally situated within India and strategically located to serve Western Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, all of Asia, and the Asia-Pacific-Japan region. Bangalore also offers a vast network of rail, road and air connectivity for commerce and transportation. Complete connectivity, accessibility and visibility will be provided through GUSTI’s associated supply chain system.
